We started our vacation drive at about 5 PM. It's a 6 hour drive in the dark and you don't see alot of interesting things, so I practiced shooting the moon!


Aug 29- Day 116
We arraived at the beach house in Rockaway, dropped off the luggage and me and my cousin/partner in crime headed to Seaside to see my mom finish the race. I had my camera ready and waiting for about 30-45 minutes when finally we realized that SOMEHOW we missed her running across the finish line :( But on the way back we stopped off at one of the look out points and it was foggy, damp, windy, cloudy, rainy, stormy and so extremely beautiful. Only the Ocean can pull off something like that.

I started watching Dante for a few hours everyday and he was soooo tired this day! Even when Nolan was trying to lay next to him he didn't wake up!!

Took Brookelyn on a late night run to the store with me. It was so much fun! We stopped and played the claw machine and she didn't win anything but she was very excited that she got to spend her dollar!

I believe this is a first for this blog! Silas came to visit on Saturday. It was an extremely busy busy day! We had lots of fun! This was while we were at mcdonalds with Grandma Shirley waiting for the food. They were NOT impressed that they had to stare at the toys while waiting for their food!

Today I had a master plan for getting both the kids to nap while I figured some schooling stuff out and of course, Nolan fell asleep about an hour and a park trip before nap. Brookelyn, on the other hand, wasn't showing any signs of tiredness so I asked her if she'd like to take some pretty pictures for her birthday party invitations. She said yes, so we dressed her up in one of her cute new dresses that G&G Klinkenberg bought her and did her hair up and everything. She took alot of cute pictures (which are on my flickr!) and we were practicing all kinds of things to keep her smiling one of them being winking. She had fun with that! And she was too cute!

This is Moo Moo. Nolan climbs all over her and tries to poke her eyes out and rides her and everything. And she just lays there. She closed her eyes in the picture and then sat next to me so I couldn't take any more pictures.

Naptime was lovely today.

Nolan fell asleep in his highchair around 11, I wiped the lunch off his face, hands, and body and picked the still-sleeping child up and put him in his crib, where he stayed asleep until 3:30! Brookelyn asked to watch a movie, so I put a movie in for her and she climbed up on the couch while I cleaned up a little. I walked into the living room to find Brooke in a deep sleep. About 20 minutes later I heard a loud thump so I ran towards Nolan's room thinking he woke up and tried to get out of his crib but I stopped short when I saw Brookelyn sitting on the floor with her pouty bottom lip poking out and she said "Mommy I falled off the couch" and her little lip started trembling. I picked her up and put her in my bed and she fell right back asleep and didn't wake up till 4!

New Beds.

Day 82
Brooke got a "New" bed last weekend. Which was actually my old bed (and then my sisters). It's still in great condition so we decided to let Brooke have it and give Brooke's bed to Silas (it has drawers and a bookshelf so he can store all his stuff in it). So. . . we did ALOT of rearranging and I finally got to separating toys and putting the stuffed animals in their hammock and throwing away broken toys. We got Brooke's room completely done and started on Nolan and Silas' room when we realized the bed is put together wrong for how it needs to go in that bedroom. So tomorrow we'll take it apart and put it back together again! I also got around to reorganzing little people :)

Oh yes, I turned TWENTY-TWO. I'm glad, to be honest. Mostly everyone assumes you want to get shit faced every chance you get when you're 21. So, I'm HOPING people will also ASSUME that I got it out of my system while I was 21.

ALOT of people wished me a Happy Birthday. Glenn brought me a cake home and Brooke sang me her own, very long and very cute, version of Happy Birthday. We brought Maggie, Shelby and Shelby over to watch the kids (well stay at the house while they slept) so me and Glenn could go see the new Harry Potter. AMAZING. That's all I'm going to say.

Since my family was leaving today, Hana decided she wanted to go swimming one last time! She wore Brookelyn out! They were jumping in the pool and swimming all over the place!! They had so much fun!!
Then they had to go on back home to Portland, which is always sad. And Brookelyn misses her auntie Hana already!!

Sunday was mostly a relax day cause everyone was so tired from Silverwood the day before! Glenn, Hana and Brooke went swimming and we went out to eat at Golden Corral buffet! Desert was the best part! And I think Nolan agreed!

While my Mom, Stepdad, and little sister, Hana were in town we thought it would be fun to go to Silverwood!! It was a TON of fun!! We spent practically our whole day in Boulder Beach on all the water attractions and everybody but the little kids got sunburned!! I thought I'd take a TON of pictures but pictures aren't really practical at a water park! I got a couple pictures when we were pulling up to the park and a couple walking from Boulder Beach to the part where the Roller Coasters are. But it was SO much fun we had a blast! We can't wait to go back!

My parents were on their way on Friday so I spent most of the day cleaning and didn't have much of a chance for pictures. I even took my camera to Bunco thinking I'd take a picture of something but Bunco moves so fast you don't even have time for stuff like that! But it was still fun and I took one picture (which I don't like very much at all) but I was trying to take a picture of my new sunglasses, so you all get the cropped version!!

We bought Brooke some goggles today and she LOVED wearing them! Till we got to the pool, that is. She ended up taking them off because they kept fogging up and she didn't know exactly what they were for in the water.

Forward Facing!

Day 72
After an all day deliberation, weighing the pros and cons of keeping Nolan rear facing, and finally asking Glenn who said nothing and I could tell he was thinking about it and weighing the pros and cons also, we decided to turn Nolan forward facing. He's almost 13 months and 26 pounds by our scale now (that's literally as much as his 3 year old sister, Brookelyn, weighs!)

He's thrilled to be forward facing and he didn't show any signs of distress or vomiting like he has in the recent weeks while rear facing, but we also weren't in the car for very long. So we'll see this weekend when we go do stuff while my parents are in town!!



P.S. Somewhere I messed up. But I've fixed all the days in the post but I'm NOT fixing all the picture's days LOL I'm on 72 but it says day 70 on the picture. Next post, everything will be right!!

Today I decided I was going to walk all the way down to the end of the road we live on to take a couple pictures of the pretty waterfalls. (Man made little waterfalls, but Brooke loves them none the less!) So I was on my way to take the pictures before heading to the gym when I noticed a MUCH smaller waterfall that was MUCH closer! What actually caught my eye was this neat looking building and then I noticed the little pond and pretty flowers. So I stopped to take pictures and then started to walk back to the gym.
Some older lady stopped me and asked if I was taking a picture of the flowers. I said yes and then she asked me where I lived so I told her 'This apartment complex over here" (Which is HUGE so that was vague enough for me). She said "OH ME TOO!! I live in E404 and I grow flowers, you should come take pictures of my flowers!" I politely told her that, actually I have a picture blog and I take photos just about everything, not just flowers & for my blog mostly. She then started going on and on about all the flowers she has and how fantastic they are etc etc and then she was like "So remember, apartment E402."

Hahah OK....she definitely reminded me of my old neighbors!! I should have taken her picture!!

Coca Cola

When I was at the Dollar Store today, finding a craft for Kaylani and Brooke to do tomorrow, I came across the CUTEST little Coca Cola Glasses. They're only 6 oz and they just match together with the 2 big ones I have, so I had to get them!! They're glass and everything!

Harry Potter

Day 69
I finally finished the Twilight books (for the 3rd time since about January) and decided that since there's a new Harry Potter movie coming out, I would go ahead and reread all of the series. I know I wont get this done before the movie comes out but I always read anyways, so why not?

I had 5 out of the 7 books earlier this year when Glenn and I bought the 5 existing movies for Brookelyn, so we decided to buy the other 2 to complete the set. I ended up with 3 that were bought for me and my sister, one that my grandma bought me (when she bought me and my sister one because she didn't want to listen to us argue over who got to read it first!), and the 7th one I bought the day it came out while I was working at walmart.

So here's the first of the 7 that I've started reading.
